Sensational Latin pop artists Amanda Miguel and Diego Verdaguer are bringing their signature sounds to the Aragon Ballroom!
Amanda Antonia Miguel Samso was born in Gaiman (Chubut, Argentina) and is a Latin pop singer. She began her musical journey at the age of 4 by learning to play the piano and when she was 16, she moved to Buenos Aires to study at the Conservatorio de Música (founded by by legendary Argentine classical music composer and pianist Alberto Williams). A year later she met singer, songwriter, and multi instrumentalist (skilled at the trumpet and the bandoneon) Diego Verdaguer. He was impressed by her and asked her to join his band Mediterráneo (which also included Valeria Lynch, who would go on to become an effusive Latin pop solo artist). The band was successful in Argentina but with her strong voice and star power potential, it wasn’t long before Amanda, with Diego as her songwriting partner and producer, launched her solo career. She released her debut solo album (El Sonido Vol. 1) in 1981 and it was a big success. She went on to have a stellar career with 14 studio albums, 7 singles, and 7 compilation albums. She’s sold over 40 million records worldwide (many of her albums have been certified Gold and Platinum) and she’s widely recognized as the jewel of Latin music.
