Coheed and Cambria, New York’s sensational progressive rock artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Aragon Ballroom!

Coheed and Cambria was formed in Nyack (New York) in 1995 and was initially a rock band (named Shabütie) that consisted of Claudio Sanchez, Nate Kelly, and Jon Carleo (later replaced by Michael Todd). The named themselves after a word (meaning ‘naked prey’) taken from an African tribe in the film, The Naked Prey. Claudio was working on a series of science fiction comics as a side project and in 1998, band members decided to call themselves Coheed and Cambria (named after two of the comic's protagonists). The band’s been through numerous line-up changes and currently consists of Claudio Sanchez (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards), Travis Stever (guitar, lap steel guitar, backing vocals), Josh Eppard (drums, backing vocals, keyboards), and Zach Cooper (bass, backing vocals, cello). The band’s had numerous influences such as such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Police, Misfits, Queen, Thin Lizzy, At the Drive-In, Iron Maiden, the Misfits, and Bad Brains. They’ve had a stellar career with 8 studio albums, 5 live albums, 3 video albums, 23 music videos, 4 EPs, and 16 singles. Most of their albums are concept albums based on the story line (called The Amory Wars) in Claudio’s comics.
